That is a contridiction in terms (not
taking into concideration hawking
radiation) an object can travel to the
centre of a black hole and no
further.

On the way there it would be torn to
pieces. The timing of the
disintergration would be based
entirely on the size of the black
hole.

The larger the black hole the less
tidel gravitation and thus the longer
the downward trip would be. (or at
least seem)
