Galaxies are some of the most beautiful objects in the universe. Each is its own isolated system of hundreds of billions of stars and interstellar gas pulled by rotational gravity into gigantic, swirling wheels of light. Sometimes fantastic spirals are formed, sometimes just flat discs, but the view is always spectacular.
