Your site was alright, but I really didn't find as much information as I had needed. I also found a typo in your Babylonian mythology section. When you begin talking about Marduk cutting up Tiamat, at first you say that Tiamat was cutting up Marduk, but then go on to explain that it was he who was cutting her up and then made the world out of her body. This confused me and I had to ask for a little explanation to figure it out. Other then that the info was alright, I just wish that there was a little more, that's all.

I have been studying Norse Mythology for only three days now and I have found a flaw in your web page. In the Norse Mythology section, you have the Dwarves as one of the 5 supernatural races. In truth it is the Alves or Elves which should replace Dwarves. Dwarves are also called Black Elves. There are also Light Elves, and Dark Elves.

peekskill, nny USA -

The earliest surviving epic poem written in English, Beowulf was most likely "composed in the seventh or eighth century, but being more precise depends on where one believes the poem was composed. ...[A] contender, which has come seriously into the reckoning as a result of the Sutton Hoo discovery, is seventh century East Anglia. Not only was the ship burial (which dates to 625AD) uncannily like the burials of Scyld and Beowulf, but the grave goods revealed the East Anglian court of the Wuffingas to be unexpectedly sophisticated and closely linked to the Swedish royal house at Uppsala. It is now thought possible that both these royal lines shared a common ancestry. As the scholar Howell Chickering asked: 'Was it through the early East Anglian court that detailed knowledge of Scandinavian tribal history in Beowulf became available in England?' And one might add, was the poem composed as a way of telling East Anglians something of their semi-historical, semi-legendary Scandinavian ancestors? There is, perhaps, a good case for believing that Beowulf was composed in Suffolk, at the palace of Rendlesham, within living memory of the great ship-burial in 625AD---not norse mythology.

Hello! You guys have done a great job...I have seen many sites on mythologies...none of them, built by students, have done such a great job! Although...there is not a lot of info. you should be given credit for the great job you have done! The way the page is formated is really good...The background looks good too! But guys...I was wondering about something...! I need help with a paper... PaPer is about: Find a particular Greek/Roman mythology and compare it to how they have been implied in the recent years in American/Europian culture...! Can u please help me? IT's a 300 pt. paper...and w/o it I would fail and my GPA (tht i have brought higher with such a lot of hard work for 6 semesters) would be spoiled...:-( Thx Vishal

Good site... could be better... BTW Freya and Frey are Vanir. THey were sent to the Ęsir as a truce between the two races. The leader of the Vanir is Sert. When this truce was sent The Ęsir sent Mimir, a god who was very wise, and his aprentace. The Vanir belived that his aprentice was just as wise as Mimir but they caught on and killed them both, soon after that Odin put mimir's head on a well. HE went on predicting things for Odin.

I am really into greek, roman, and norse mythology. We have been studying about greek mythology in our language art and reading class. I'm in the 8th grade and I go to Dubose Middle School. We are doing a project where we have split into groups of 2 and each group has a certain god that they have to look up. Me and my partner have ot look yp Hephaestus, the god of forge/fire. We also have to put together a poster board with pictures and info. on our god. Talk to ya later.

The most detailed Arthurian Legends I have read in years. However, I dosn't all fit together as well as I would like it to, but then I suppose legends almost by definition are tales that have been erroded by time. Could you possibly let me know some of your sources? I am most interested to find out more if possible.

Some of the Mythology is actually true! I think it is really interesting to see what so many different types of people believe in. OH, I am so glad that a website about Mythology has been created. I already know a whole lot of information about Roman, Greek, and Egyptian Mythology and Arthurian Legends, but I had no idea that there was Babylonian, Indian, Norse Mythology too! Hi! I actually don't know any of you guys (everyone else seems to!) but your page is nice. I love mythology. I really think you should add a bit of Welsh mythology though! It's really fascinating :)

I think Your web page is great. Though it might help to have some more pictures and to shorten your quiz. Other than that your page is very nice.

Way cool sight. I've added it to my favorites. Sandy gave me a telescope for father's day so that I could study the stars. It's nice to be able to find info on mythology because there are many connections to star formations.
