Re (Ra)

Likely the most well known of the gods, for he was the sun god. Having a name meaning either "Creative Power" or "Creator," his name is very well associated with the Christian term "Creator" for their own God. Ra would be a child in the morning, a grown man at noon, and at night he would be an elderly man. During the evenings, he would travel trough the underworld, and would therefore be reborn upon the dawn of each day. He has been shown as traveling through the Underworld in a boat, and is depicted as a hawk-headed man or just as a hawk in general
