Viscosity

The viscosity of a fluid is its resistance to flow. Fluids with a high viscosity will resist movement because its molecular construction are configured in such a way that slight movement will cause a lot of internal friction. Conversely, fluids with a low viscosity will flow easily because movement does not cause a great amount of internal friction.
