PROM
The manufacture of ROM RAM requires the writing of the information during the manufacturing process. Therefore, PROM or Programmable ROM was developed to allow the principle of ROM to be used for general purposes. PROM is factory set to all 0’s. When the ROM is to be programmed, the required circuits are shocked with a high voltage charge, which destroys the transistor (giving it the value of 0).
