CDR
CDR is a take-off of the regular CDROM drive, which allows the user to write to 650MB CDROM disk. The CDR requires different hardware and media to operate than a regular CDROM.  Note: Once CDR media is "burned" or written on, it cannot be modified or written on again.

In order for CDR and CDRW media to work in other devices, the device reading the media must be CDR and/or CDRW compatible.
