I'm Ed.  I currently live in Kingsport, TN, a small town seemingly in the middle of nowhere.  I was born here 17 years ago, but since I have moved several times.  My first move came at the age of nine, when I moved to Zug, Switzerland.  I was able to experience an entirely different culture and expand my view of the world.  At the age of 13 I moved from Switzerland to The Hague in the Netherlands.  After two and a half years there I returned to Tennessee.  Each move has taught me the importance of maintaining an open mind.

My family purchased our first computer when I was seven, and from that moment on, I was using it for a variety of tasks.  I remember learning to program simple games in basic and using dos.  I became interested in the internet in the eighth grade, when I decided to build my own website.  From that moment on my interest in designing media for the web has simply grown.

At school I play tennis, and participate in a variety of activities.  But none of that makes me who I am.  I am not interested in computers because of the technology, or because they especially appeal to me.  Instead I am fascinated by the way computers allow me to communicate with the rest of the world.  Twenty years ago a high school student would be ignored, if he tried to share his viewpoint on an issue.  The internet is blind to a person's age, or race, leaving simply their ideas.  This concept is what draws me to computers and the internet.

This is who I am and why I did this.  Feel free to email me at (link disabled)
