Heavy Duty Dubbas

Since Disney owns ABC it is fitting that Warner Bros. has a network station too. In combat for the after school and saturday morning cartoon audience WB seems to want to get a wide range of ages instead of just the young. As with always WB's animators are top notch and everything looks smooth and "real". Here are some of the shows that WB offers and you can decide for yourselves:

Animaniacs: An extension of Tiny Toons(both are brought to us by Steven Spielberg) this show is based on 2 brothers and their sister Dot. Most of the time this cartoon mixes wacky-anvil-dropping-on-the-head type comedy with some more "intelligent" matters as Yakko's Universe, where Yakkos sings a song that includes every country in the world. A lot of time references to history are made that I'm not sure an 8 year old would know.

Batman / Bruce Wayne     Batman: The Animated Series: This is a very adult cartoon, it provides the action that kids like(no blood so parents like it too) and storylines that are very well written that are more interesting than things Hollywood comes up with. Some of the issues that come up are pretty intense and realistic, this "cartoon" can very easily captivate adults as it does with children. The animation is also very realistic, people look real(Batman has a normal strong guy build) and the action doesn't make you say, "That can't happen!"

Pinky and the Brain: A spin off from Animaniacs this hilarious show's writing rivals The Simpsons and I'm sure anyone that watches The Simpsons will like Pinky and the Brain. Just like with the Animaniacs there is a mix of wackiness and intelligent matter. How many kids would understand the jokes based on politics and world events? Although kids can enjoy this show very much older people would probably(hopefully) understand a lot of the jokes more.
