| Watering |
Water requirments depend on the varieties, planting media used and the environment. Newly grown orchid plants should be watered twice daily. Upon maturing, watering could be reduced, depending on the water holding capacity of the media for the plant to survive.
Plants grown under full sun and in a media such as bricks and bricks which do not hold water well should be watered twice daily. Watering plants during the hot midday afternoon should be avoided since it will cause sun-scald.
