| Planting |
Ground Orchid - Cuttings of about 30 cm to 45 cm are tied to a timber peg, or any lateral cross to support the plant. Planting distance could vary between varieties. Mixture of growing medias are then distributed evenly at the base of the plant. A layer of mulching materials could also be applied at the base. These materials should be renewed periodically at 2-3 month interval.
Potted Orchid - The orchid cuttings are tied to a short piece of woodof 100 mm, and placed in the centre of the pot. A mixture of broken pots and charcoal are then placed around it to hold the plant upright. Desired pot size is 120 mm in diameter with 2-3 drainage holes.
