lies beyond the year 2000? Space Travel

If we want to explore space, then we have to reach speeds a lot faster than we can today. If we were to send someone to the nearest star system (Alpha Centauri) in the fasted rocket we have today, it would take a centuries to reach it, if we had some sort of fuel supply that does not run out, which we don't. So it is obvious that if we wish to explore the galaxy, we need much, much faster, more efficient and inexpensive rocket engines. This section has new technologies that we could use to propel us through space, what life would be like in space and what the future holds for space travel. Possible Future Space Travel Technologies
