Nearsightedness:
Nearsightedness is when you see things that are close very well, but objects that are far away seem blurry.
Vision problems are usually easily correctable with glasses or contact lenses. Glasses and contact lenses help to focus what you are looking at so it doesn't look blurry. However, nearsighted people have different glasses than farsighted people. Also, people wear different size glasses depending on how much correction their eyesight needs.

Farsightedness:
Farsightedness is when you see things that are far away very well, but objects that are close seem blurry.

Astigmatism:
If you have astigmatism, what you see is distorted and may look off center. If you are wondering what this situation feels like, touch very gently on your lower eye lid over the eye.
You can get glasses or contacts to fix this problem as well, but they are different than glasses for farsightedness or nearsightedness. (Though you can't tell by looking.)
