OPTOMETRIST
An optometrist is a doctor of the eyes. He examines eyes, diagnoses problems, and writes prescriptions for glasses and eye medicines.
OPTHALMOLOGIST
An opthalmologist is very similar to an optometrist. He or she can examine, diagnose, and make prescriptions just like an optometrist, but he or she also performs surgery if necessary to fix big eye problems.
OPTICIAN
An optician examines eyesight and makes glasses and contact lenses when necessary.
