The Olympic Flag

the Olympic Flag The Olympic Flag doen't exist as long as the Olympics exist, in 1920 (in Antwerp) was the Flag for the very first time carried into the stadium.
On the occasion of the 20th aniversary of the International Olympic Committee, was there in 1913 by the Magasins du Bon Marché in Paris made the very first Olympic Flag.
The five colors, can be found at least one time in the flag of each country which was independent in 1913.

The five in each other plaited rings had Baron Pierre de Coubertin out the old Olympia, where it was engraved in a stone. In 1906 were the 5 rings already used as emblem of 'the five Olympic allied continents'.

Official there are only 2 Olympic Flags, one for the Summer Olympic Games and one for the Winter Olympic Games. The host city have to hand over the Olympic Flag after organisation to the next host city (so after 4 years).
For that reason you actually don't see another Olympic Flag, all other flags (of National Olympic Committees for example) may use the Flag, but have to change the flag so it isn't unique at the Olympic Flag.

Here come the meanings of the 5 colors:
