Judo

the Netherlands - Japan

In 1964 came judo to the Olympics, and immediately won a Japanese. In another final in 'all categories' won the Dutchman Anton Geesink from the Japanese favorite for 15.000 Japanese. They weren't very happy about that.

Drug-taking

In 1972, the Mongolian silver medal winner was disqualified because he took drug. That was the very first judoka who was positive in the judohistory.
The winner that year said that he chose judo as sport, because he had to defend as a little kid against 6 older brothers. His name was Hector Rodriguez (Cuba).
