1908

In 1908 came hockey to the Olympic programme. The first final was won by Scotland which won with 4-0 from Germany. By the London Olympics were 4 of the 6 participating countries from the British islands: Scotland, Wales, England and Ireland. Scotland and Wales became divided third, there wasn't a match for the 3rd place, because the Scottish team had to go home.

In 1932 in Los Angeles, was the highest hockey-victory (and loss); India won with 24-1 from the USA.

In 1968 at 25 October, was the longest hockeymatch ever. The players from the Netherlands and Spain had to be 2 hours and 25 minutes at the field, that is up to and including the 6th prolongation. Then the Netherlands won with 1-0.
