When Mexico City in 1963 the Olympics of 1968 got, came there more and more restlessnes. The height where the Olympics should be (2240 meter), should produce danger for the athletes who did a number which should take longer than three minutes effort. There were even doctors who presaged deaths. All this pessimistic doings was evident a bit too much, only after a long-distancenumber, had much athletes inmideatly needed oxygen. The numbers which should take longer than three minutes, should be slower, what was right, but sometimes there were astounding prestations set down.

There was feared that all the facilities shouldn't be ready on time, by the laxness Mexicans get acribed, but everything was ready on time.

This year were there much (almost) boycotts. When the IOC decided that South Africa may join again to the Olympic Movement, threatened 40 African countries that their teams stayed at home. But when the IOC told that South Africa didn't might join the Olympic Movement, participate those 40 countries.
In the USA too was there a possible boycott. The black men was suggest to do boycott, against all the pronouncements and about the bad treatments of black people in the USA. This protest got little response, and the organisators suggest an one or other protest during the Olympics.

Notwithstanding the protests and posible boycotts, opened the Mexican president Gustavo Diaz Ordaz the Olympics of 1968 in a full stadium.
