Normally, an Olympic Committee is doing what the government of the host country wants, but at these Olympics did the German Olympic Committee not what the National Socialistic Government wanted. In the whole world were debates over the question: Shall we go to the Winter Olympics or not? And later on if they had to go to the Summer Olympics in Nazi-Germany.
However: there was a record of countries at the Olympics this year.
More then a half million people had looked to 6 forms of sport.
