E: Drive Not Working

My E: Drive has always worked fine and always showed up but since yesterday it's been messing up. It won't show it on My Computer and sometimes it won't even open. My computer keeps freezing up since my E: Drive has been messing up. This morning I was able to burn something on a cd fine but then later it wouldn't work. Usually after I restart it it shows up, but this time it won't show up at all and when it does show up I try to burn a cd but it messes up and it just dissapears and it won't open again. It's very frustrating and I would contact Gateway about it but I don't really think they know what their doing :S especially the ones I come in contact with for help online. Any Ideas?
