- START (Student Tobacco and Alcohol Resource Team)
START is a dedicated group of high school students from 4 schools in Greensboro NC who are trained to educate their peers and the community about alcohol and tobacco issues.

The Lycaeum is a huge site, offering information on all sorts of substances-including chemical make-up, effects, explanations of what brins about said effectss, user's experiences, as well as a host of links in many languages.
- The NET (Northwest High School Education Team )
The NET is a group of high school students transmittting knowledge about alcohol,tobacco and other drugs to their peers and the community. The NET creates a network of caring, committed members who are trained to help students with substance abuse issues. This program is bases in Greensboro, North Carolina

CDC's TIPS is a great site to help teens learn more about the harmful aspects of addictions to tobacco and alcohol products.
Kickbutt is a program designed to help teens contact their government representatives and encourage them to promote laws intended to limit tobacco addictions. The Kickbutt Action Center has all the resources you need to contact your candidates on-line in less than two minutes!
- MADD: Mothers Against Drunk Driving
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) is more than just a bunch of angry moms. We're real people, moms, dads, young people, and other individuals just trying to make a difference. We are determined to stop drunk driving, help the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.
- Teen Challenge Worldwide Network
Teen Challenge is a large and highly successful program to help teens who are suffering from addictions to drugs, alcohol, and tobacco.

This site advocates teen alcohol and drug prevention. It includes many helpful ideas and tips for teens who confront problems related to addictions at school and with friends.
- Teens and Tobacco
In 1996, President Clinton announced the nation's first comprehensive program to prevent children and adolescents from smoking cigarettes or using smokeless tobacco and beginning a lifetime of nicotine addiction. The President's announcement came as the Food and Drug Administration issued new rules to reduce the access and appeal of tobacco products for children and adolescents. This site documents the plan and provides information about it.
