"A nation, like a person, has a mind--a mind that must be kept informed and alert, that must know itself, that understands the hopes and needs of its neighbors--all the other nations that live within the narrowing circle of the world."

-Franklin Delano Roosevelt

Many issues affect our global community. To portray each and every would make a site too varied and beyond capability. But here you will learn of certain issues incredible impact, meant to reveal their realities; articles that will hopefully have an affect, and teach life lessons that will be forever remembered as people grow and live in this world -- lessons that can make perspectives broader and provide a better understanding of things that happen in this world that we live in.

As we live in this world, things will appear before our eyes that will certainly astound us. How can man be so corrupt? How can one person be so cruel, so unfeeling about the lives of others? "Youth is the first victim of war," Baudouin I, King of Belgium, said. In many ways this is true - their minds are absorbent and innocent, but the utmost potential lies in every one. Youth is also "the first fruit of peace." The future of our world lies in children - our youth.

A perfect society cannot be made; the corruption that is present in the world today cannot be instantly changed. We can, however, attempt to better understand our world and our countries, and put effort and energy into raising our future generations. These articles are presented in what is attempted to be an objective viewpoint. While reading these articles it is hoped that you will gain a broader knowledge of the issues in the world. Hopefully they will instill life lessons by offering a larger perspective, and aid in making choices that will determine values. Once a person knows and establishes these values, he or she can go on to help others. First, a person must become interested, become aware, gain an understanding, and choose what he or she values more.
