After 50 years of fighting and arguments between Palestinians and
the Israel government, it seems that nothing has been achieved. Peace
treaties have come and gone, some have partially worked, others have
completely failed. Israel is left where it began, having difficulties
with its Arab neighbors and internal strife with the Palestinians'
quest for land and self-rule. Now, trying to predict what will arise
in Israel's future, it seems that the trend will continue. Where
Netanyahu was finally trying to cease the fighting and cede land to
Palestinians, it appears the Prime Minister Barak is falling through on
this plan, or at least delaying it for some time. Problems between the
Palestinians and the Israeli government may never stop, but hopefully,
with the help of Barak in years to come, they can at least slightly
wane.
