Amongst wars, poverty, discrimination and all issues of the world there are people, real people and their families, who are no different than anyone in the world. They are no different in that they have strong ties within their families, and members who they love dearly with their life. It is these people who withstand the horrors of war, the hardships of poverty, and the other issues that have been covered on this site. They are real people with lives and with amazing courage.

It is enlightening to witness these people's courage and wisdom. To hear their stories brings to reality the many things that effect our global community on a daily basis. It is revealing to listen to their lives and their stories. Yet most of all, it is enlightening to discover that in these people there is steadfast courage, there is hope, there is faith. Although many have come away from the horror almost feeling as if they have lost their emotions to the hellish battles for life. But it is not carelessness, no, for they have come away with an understanding of reality and the understanding of the importance of hope, that they have become focused on one great reality: thankfulness. Thankful that they are alive.
