A Note
After teaching for almost thirty-five years, I still find it refreshing and exciting to work with young people, who demonstrate such enthusiasm. Students in my classes have participated in Thinkquest for two years and it is a wonderful opportunity for them to combine so many learning modalities. In addition, they can further their technology skills in a very meaningful way. This team of students is particularly unique because they are so diligent and creative. Through the year, I was continually impressed with their cooperative spirit and their independence. I can truly say that this site is their creation and my role was more of a coach who was their to lend support and be the cheerleader on the sidelines.

The use of technology, with a special emphasis on the Internet, is an integral part of our lives. My involvement with integrating technology into the classroom goes back almost ten years when I bridged the gap between the traditional teacher to the one who tries to use active learning as the main strategy.
