Cloning

Cloning is defined as the production of a genetically identical organism to the original individual. Though at present it is a very controversial issue, it may still serve various purposes in the scientific community. Because of the precarious situation of many endangered species, it may stand to reason that the preservation of their genetic material, and cloning of certain individuals in the prospect of their disappearance, would have beneficial uses toward society. Though there may be unseen risks involved, cloning still stands as an alternative to extinction.
