- DSWD (Deparment of Social Welfare and Development)
The DSWD is the Philippine government's primary
welfare agency which is responsible for uplifting the living conditions and improving the
quality of life of the poorest sector of the population.
- PCSO (Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office)
The PCSO has been one country's pillars in helping
the lives of poor people through fundraising, sweepstakes and lotteries.
- NEDA (National Economic and Development Authority)
The National Economic and Development Authority, or NEDA, is basically a governmental body
that ensures the economic and efficient delivery of public services and needs.
Non-Government Organizations: Philippines
- Fil-Mentoring
Fil-Mentoring was created with a vision of
providing street children with adequate skills in enhancing their God-given talents, at
the same time, monitoring and guiding their academic progress.
- PEPE (Popular Education for People's Empowerment)
Pepe is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that promotes popular education geared
toward people's empowerment. It aims to enhance the capacities of various sectors in
knowledge, skills and attitudes as community educators.

Stairway Foundation Incorporated is a non-stock, non-profit, non-government child
care institution that envisions to provide holistic and innovative programs to improve the
life conditions of disadvantaged street children in the Philippines.
- PRRM (Philippine Rural Reconstruction Movement)
PRRM is a group that reaches out to the economically and socially marginalized groups of
small farmers, landless agricultural workers, subsistence fisherfolk, indigenous peoples,
and rural women.

The ABS-CBN Foundation founded Bantay Bata 163 as an immediate response to the
growing cases of child abuse of any form. Children in distress could call up the 163
hotline number and will be provided response according to their needs.

eventually find cures to the society's plagues and diseases.

Army
The Salvation Army is one of the largest charity groups in the world.
From their humble roots in England in 1865, this army has expanded its battle
against poverty to over 14,000 centers around the world.
- Oxfam
Oxfam is a big international organization
that was established in 1995. This large organization consists of eleven independent,
self-governing organizations from different countries.

Foundation
The StreetCats Foundation helps out lost and abandoned teens wandering the
streets.

charity group through which people can respond to the needs of the street children
residing in Colombia and beyond.
