Hi there! I really like your web site it is really inspiring and I'm very touched because there are still people who do this kind of stuff in order to tell the whole world that many people are suffering and are longing for love. I would want to join you in helping the needy but i can't because of the other things that I have to accomplished in my school. You know what, I have a dream, and this dream has something to do with charity, I wish I could build my own institution that would help the needy in all of their needs. May God continue to bless you and don't get tired of helping our brothers and sisters because it is the way of showing our love to God. Always, Rhoda May caloocan City

I would like to give something back to the streetchildren that helped me years ago. That they who have nothing can still find care in their hearts to help me without asking something in return. I found the right solution and this site has helped me find the answer. Thank you very much

I appreciate the effort that has gone into this site. Currently I am conducting a study of poverty of Mindanao. As much as I want to see this curse eradicated from the earth, poverty belongs to the politicians and the few wealthy people of our earth. It is not good enough to note that there is a problem. The issue is that poverty is not such a great topic for many academics. It seems that many people feel that the curse will just go away. It will but only if the right politicians are elected. They have to be committed globally to tackle the poverty situation. Starting the ball rolling is one thing, but ensuring it scores a perfect result is another. Thank you for this site. Perhaps a copy of the site should be sent to the bedroom of every politician on earth as breakfast every morning.

This was a terrific website. I found it by way of researching material for my thesis on Poverty. I promote volunteerism for my company and try to encourage others to help those who are less fortunate. There are no small deeds when it comes to helping others. Basic human rights are a necessity for all.

This is a great site, not just the looks and the overall graphic lay-out presentation but the contents as well. It gives us the awareness and the opportunity to face the challenge that many of us fail to face: to reach out to our fellow brothers and sisters who are less fortunate. God bless to the web team! And more success coming you way, too.

guys: good job! may we have more minds (and socially relevant hearts) like yours. additional comment: environment too is a victim (albeit silent victim) of poverty... not just people. may be we should all explore or start discussions on this, to expand from being human-centered. we should all espouse respect for all life, altho human beings, being gifted with the 'brains' should take on the responsibility of stewardship. i am confident you will win! loads of good luck...

I'll give you guys a thumbs-up!!! Very few people are like you who would give attention to these persons who are less fortunate than us. You inspire me to finish and put up my site which is dedicated to various foundations of street children here in Metro Manila. I hope I can get to ask your help too =) God bless you!!!

Give yourselves a pat on the back guys....A very excellent work indeed. It's been a great help since I'm doing a paper for my Masters program on poverty. However, why focus on Philippines only? Why don't you give a shot for Malaysia. I'm sure there are cases on poverty.

Your site is very interesting and hopefully will make people think about the world that we live in, but never really see. Most of us visiting this site do not have first hand knowledge of poverty. We are affluent enough to have access to a computer and the internet. We can sympathise with those less fortunate than ourselves. We can even live among them for a while, if we so choose, but we can always come back. The reality of a lifetime of poverty is ours to contemplate, but not experience unless we voluntarily do so. Their is only one long term solution and that is to teach all people to respect human life and the rights of others. A monumental task, but a worthwhile undertaking.

Simply put, this is one of the finest examples of the internet and exhibition of its power that I know of to date. "The Beggars Hand" is a must read for anyone that badmouths what the web has to offer in education and insight to the world that most of us will never see, understand or relate to. Thank you to the creators.

It'll be three more years before you join your Th141 immersion class Jason. I had mine last year and I was fortunate enough to live with the Aetas of Nueva Ecija for 4 days. In that short span of time I was able to concretize and at the same time internalize every classroom theory re: poverty. When you get the chance, join the Th141 Tribal Group. you won't regret it. Congratulations for winning the webby's. Hope to see more of your work for ACT! AMDG

Looking through the guestbook, I have observed that some people have focused their responses more on the "cool" design of this website (and the fact that you are trying to win a contest) rather than the essence of your work. For the sake of all those who are in poverty, I am praying that those who visited this site may see beyond the technical stuff and actually do something in their own little (or big) way. Knowing about the problem is the first step. I'm glad that people actually took time to be informed. But there's still much to be done. To the team: excellent work! May more people in your field of expertise share the same concern
