Somehow, deep inside of me, i have always wanted to volunteer for a cause. To help the poor improve themselves. To give someone a voice to be heard. Everyday, i fight a daily battle to get out of my comfort zone. And everyday, i lose. Does it mean that my intention to help is not that strong to help me detach my self from my comforts? I need a push. I want to help. I am a lost soul. I want to stop beginning my sentences with the word 'I' and be more selfless. Let me help. Let me help.

It's ironic but poverty has been an issue worldwide! My POV; Just hope that the message being sent of this website reaches the leaders of the world because they have a major role in the existence of poverty! If only each country has resources to educate the people, mostly the young generation, there's no way poverty will exists! Ignorance create chaos! Education is the cure to this illness that causes destruction!! This website is an eye opening! More luck to the staff and creator of this site!

All of the information that i have just read, makes me feel sad and hopeless. I would like to help but it takes more than me to help all of the poor.

Very informative, yet I can't help but feel sad of the seeming endless cycle of poverty of a once promising and beautiful country. What you have offered here, although very educational--will probably end up like any other sad data of the Philippine situation. I'd like to see one, 'though would not solve the country's problems, that would trigger the psyche of the people to rise up and revolt against this plague. Mind you, we did have that opportunity at EDSA 1, but I guess we blew it eh? So that brings us to the question--are we doomed to fail? Are we going to allow ourselves to be always conquered? Or is the solution just to the give it up--like me and millions of others that opted out and left. God, I hope not. God Bless (although that too is questionable)

Congratulations to the ones who made this site. It's a very informative site that views and reveals the reality that is happening in our society now. It is an eye opener to the people for them to help and care for the less fortunate ones. Keep up the good work!

Your site is highly recommended by Ms. Jannette Torral, author of the book"The Digital Filipino" and I agree with her that "It is a must read for all Filipinos to understand the root causes of poverty in certain sectors of our society and what should we do to eradicate it. Every Filipino must take action to stop it for the sake of generations to come." We must concretize our actions and not deal with it on thesis, researches and studies only. It is so naive on some of us Filipinos to search the internet in order to look into the subject of poverty in our country. One would only get of of his home to experience the flights of our poor people most especially our children. Honestly, it will take no less than a revolution to eradicate the problem of poverty in our country. It is the very root cause of all our problems as a nation. Your site is one big step ahead in doing something about it. I hope our countrymen will realize that they only need to open their eyes and reach out their hands to be able to do something for our poor people. Thank you and more power!

Thank you for your obviously sincere efforts to shed light on the problem of poverty and the impact it has especially on children. I had worked with an NGO that focuses specifically on streetchildren and have continued to keep myself abreast with the programs out there for them. Hopefully, government will stop putting a price on the future and invest more in building hope in the lives of the children. Again, thank you so much for your efforts.

Hi! I wanna say "THANK YOU" for a wonderful website! I'm taking up Master in Social Administration at the University of Queensland, Brisbane, Autralia. I'm presently writing a research on the roles of education and employment to alleviate poverty in the Philippines. It's good to know that your website contained a lot of informations about my topic. Indeed, there are a lot of things to be done in our country. I have compassion for street children and the "poor" in our country. Hence, I'm doing a research for them which I hope will contribute something for our government inasmuch as I'm working in the government too. GOD BLESS! Jane :)
