As you read this very text, a billion people are struggling, not for grades, cars, designer clothes or concert tickets, but for their lives.  The relentless shackles of poverty have bound them to live the nightmares of starvation and homelessness.  The same hand of fate that placed some of us in our privileged middle class also thrust hundreds of millions helplessly into utter destitution.

Our team dedicates this web site to those who aren't so fortunate, in hopes that through this Information Age's luxurious medium we can convey and relieve the plight of those it has left behind.  A beggar reaches out his hand, and it's about time for humanity to listen...

Man has suffered and fed off the hand of poverty, for it has shaped the destiny of society for good, whether for the benefit of a few or at the expense of many.

One thousand travel books are not worth a single trip. The study of economics and poverty should not be restricted to within the walls of the classroom or the covers of a hardbound.
