Using the ToolBar

 

(This document uses screenshots from Netscape Navigator but is nearly the same for browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer)

 

The Toolbar is at the top of a Netscape Navigator Browser Window. Each button on the Toolbar has a certain function. A picture of the toolbar is below:

Below is a listing of what each button does:

Back Button

The back button goes back to the last page viewed.

Forward Button

The forward button moves forward to the page you came from. Commonly used in conjunction with the back button.

Home Button

The home button sends you to the page set as your home page. The home page option can be set in the preferences of your web browser.

Reload Button

The reload button will load the current web page that you are at again.

Images Button

The images button loads the images on a page.

Open Button

The open button will open up the open location button so that you can enter a URL.

Print Button

The print button prints the current web page you are at.

Find Button

The find button brings up a dialog box which allows you to search for text on the web page you are currently viewing.

Stop Button

The stop button stops the loading of a web page. In this instance, the stop button is ghosted as no web page is loading.
