WRITING GUIDE

  Introduction

There are several different styles of writing. The first choice is between two main styles: a creative approach or an analytical approach. The creative writing approach is used in writing poetry and prose. Many colleges require some type of creative essay for admission as well. There are several analytical styles which are mostly used when writing any type of composition which analyzes a work of literature or several works of literature. The most common example is the "Research Paper". Once you decide which approach you need to take, there are a number of steps to help ensure that you are on the right track of creating a quality composition. We suggest that you follow the steps in order if you are composing from scratch however you may choose to view only certain steps.
