AUTHORS: Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde was born in 1854, in Dublin. He was born to a middle class and eccentric family, which first introduced him to the arts. In 1971, Wilde attended Trinity College on a scholarship, and next went to Magdalen College in Oxford. In 1884, he married Constance Lloyd, but it did not last. Wilde did most of his successful writing following 1889. Unfortunately, he also began experimenting in homosexuality. Wilde was given a three year sentence for sodomy, and his reputation was ruined.
