This is a simulator that allows you to view the effects of different
drinks on the body. To run this simulator, click on the button below.

The Drink Buttons. Once the simulator starts, you will see six colored buttons in the middle of the
screen. Moving the mouse over the buttons will display information about the
different beverages. Click on the buttons to drink the beverage.
The Viewer. On the righthand side of the window, there is a picture of
the brain, with the different areas highlighted. Move the mouse over the
different areas and information about how that area is affected will appear
in the box on the lefthand side of the screen.
You can zoom in on the viewer by clicking on the button.
Zoom out by clicking on the button. Click and
drag the image around to view other areas while zoomed in.
The Graph. The graph on the left-hand side of the window displays the
rise and fall of the BAC over the past 60 "minutes". At normal speed, each
second is equal to one "minute". The graph also displays the total elapsed
time, in hours:minutes format.
Pausing / Speeding up the Simulation. Click on the
button to
pause the simulation. Clicking on the button again will unpause.
Click on the button
to increase the speed of the simulation. Clicking on the
button again will return the simulation to normal speed.
The Restart Button. Clicking on this button will pull up a screen that
allows you to modify different properties for the simulation, including gender
and weight of the simulated drinker. Experiment with these settings and see
how they affect the simulation.
