Over the centuries, mankind used lots of tools to kill the sentenced to death; in this section we will deal with the more common ones. There are also other methods which are not very common or obsolete.

It's not true at all, as the supporters of capital punishment say, that today's methods used in fully-developed contries are painless; on the contrary, they can be considered torture forms, like the reported witnesses prove.
