The Universal declaration of human rights of 10th December 1948 doesn't admit death penalty, though it isn't clearly mentioned. The 3rd article says:
Every person is entitled to life, to freedom and to his own safety.Since then the international community has expressed in many occasions the intenction to make the abolition of death penalty a primary goal in tutelage of human rights.
