The Jurassic Period

The period began for about 208 million years ago and ended for 144 million years ago. At this time the super continent was really starting to break a part. A crack in the continent became the Atlantic Sea, Africa moved further away from South America and India was starting to move to Asia were it is now. The climate was hot all over and a lot of rain transformed the deserts to beautiful vigorous woods. In the sea there were big swimming reptiles with bones there were formed after "modern" principle.

Geography: When the Jurassic period began there were not so many volcanoes, but later when the super continent was breaking a part the amount of volcanoes became larger. At the end of the period Africa hit south Europe and some new areas like Arabia and Spain came.

Plants: The Jurassic period was the most vigorous period in Mesozoikum. It had lots of woods, trees, bushes and low-growing plants.
