Living: The teeth on a Camarasaurus could chew something harder than leaves. The scientists say that it even ate barked branches. It had luck not being fussy because it could not reach the trees like other "longer-necked" Sauropods,

so it ate of the leaves on the ground. Calculating from the skull, the scientists have founded out, that its smelling – and seeing senses were very good, which helped it to find new eating-spots and to avoid the Allosaurs and Ceratosaurs.

Reconstruction: Its "short" tail, high nose, short neck, high shoulders and compact body remind a lot more of the Brachiosaurus than the long-tailed and long-necked Diplodocus. There has only been found a few complete Sauropods, but the scientists had found a complete set of skeletons because a Camarasaurus was buried in a pile of dirt and the dirt held the bones together.

Skeleton: This is how the Camarasaurus looked like when it died. It had a short deep skull, a dozen short neck vertebras with long slim ribs, a dozen hollow back vertebras, about 50 short tail vertebras, robust bones and short weight-carrying fingers and toes.

Skull: Its skull was short in the length and tall with big holes.

In front of the eyes were the nose and behind a gap for the jaw-muscle. Its powerful jaws were filled with the teeth long roots.
