All the time there was war and unrest in the Roman empire. But when Augustus became emperor he would be different. Since he is the emperor was there a period of 200 years peace; the Pax Romana. De Roman navy had the pirates well in hand and the army built the famous network of the biggest roads. These roads were built with the attention for the army, the army could move then faster.
