Jesus from Nazareth

Back

During the garrison of Israël by the Romans, the citizens hoped for a rescuer, a messias. When they heart that Jezus from Nazareth through the country travelled and wonders performed, believed they that he was the messias. Around Jezus from Nazareth arised very soon some studients.

Jezus became king of the Jewish tribe. The Romans by Tiberius did not afford this and they crusified Jesus.

The man in the middle is Jesus After his death arised a new religion: the Christianity. It is probably spreat by the studients of Jesus. The Romans could not afford this either and they began to persecute the Christians. They believed that the Christians were fals on 3 points:
They honoured an other God and not the emperor. With this, they damaged the name of the emperor.(1)
They chose a king. That was a danger for surrounding nations and for the Roman empire self. It was a danger for surrounding nations, because they had a new enemy near them.(2) It was a danger for the Roman empire ,because maybe the other nations would do the same and then there would not be a Roman empire any more.(3)

In spite of the persecuting of the Christians by the Romans, grew the Christianity fast.
