Beethoven 6th is the Pastoral. Ralph Vaughn Williams also wrote a Pasteral Symphony (#4 ? ). There may be one other famous one that I cannot think of right now.

I've played rock and written rock songs in younger years of my life. Improvising on rock is energy releasing creativity tailor made for the adolescent. But the music as seemed to continue its appeal for adults now.

But I love symphonies much more. First of all I do not demand that all music has a driving rythmic pulse. I don not insist that all music has to have a clearly marked out thumping sledge hammer down beat.

At any rate it is not for everybody.

Myself, I love a good symphony. I plan to write one myself someday soon.

But taste is a factor. Not everybody likes classical music.
