CAVERN DEMANOVSKA LADOVA
Itīs located on the right side of the Demanov valley in the Low Tatras, norder than the cavern Demanovska
slobody. It is accesible by a gate in a rock Basta.
The cavern represent the norder part of the ensemble of Demanovska .
The lenght of the cavern is 1750 m. The spaces of cavernare in 3 horizontal levels.
The interior of the cavern are constitued usualy from round passages modelled by rivers
and the great galleries are made by erosion by ice.
The ice is located in the low parts of the cavern, especially in Kmetov dom. We can see many forms of anice decoration f.e. ice on floor, various types of stalagmits etc.
The temperature of air in the iced parts is 1,3 - 5,7 °C. Relative humidity is around 92-98%.
The cavern is inhabited by 7 species of bats. Most increased is Eptesicus nilssoni.
