CAVERN BELIANSKA

Itīs location is the north slope of hill Kobyli vrch in the east side of Belianske Tatry. The entre of the cavern (890 m.n.m.) can be reached from a path from a parking. The atmospheric water has acumulated itself in a flows and it caused corosions and also erosion by pressure. Through the time, some of the lowest passage has became stuck with the segments brought by the water. The marks of earth on walls in the altitude of 27 m are an evidence of an ancient flood in some spaces subterranean of the cavern. The length of the cavern is 1752 m. There is also an old entre to the cavern situated 82 meters higher than the actual one. The paths of the visit lead through an place called Razcestie to places with a bigger volume (Zruteny dom, Dom trosiek). The forms of a river modulation can be seen on places like Rurovity dom, Dlha chodba etc. The cavern is very specific for itīs vertical layout. The cavern is amazing for itīs sintre decoration...for example waterfalls of sintre, many forms of stalagmits and few lacs. The temperature of air is 5,0 - 6,3 °C. The cavern is a home of 8 types of bats, the most frequent is the bat myotis myotis.
