Migration

After years at sea, the adult salmon migrates back to the stream of its birth where it will now spawn. This is an amazing facet of nature. These migrations are often very difficult and present many obstacles to the returning fish. Salmon must swim up streams, waterfalls and waterways to return to the place of their birth. Salmon are also easy prey for bear, birds, and other wildlife. Many lose their lives in this difficult process of migration.
