Knuckle Hop

The Knuckle Hop is said to be an imitation of the way a seal walks on land. A competitor takes a position similar to one taken when someone is going to do push-ups. However, the competitor stands on the knuckles of his closed fists and lowers himself or herself to about 3 inches above the floor. Then the competitor bounces on his or her toes and knuckles, thrusting and moving forward, just above the floor. No gloves are allowed and this can be a painful competition.
