| In the One Foot High Kick a seal skin ball with about a 5 inch diameter is hung down in front of a competitor and the competitor, standing on one foot, jumps and attempts to kick the ball with the foot on which he or she had been standing. An athlete in good condition but untrained for the High Kick has difficulty kicking a ball 3 feet off the floor. The skilled men competitors can kick the ball 7 feet or more off the floor, and skilled women can kick nearly 6 feet high and kick the ball with the foot on which they had been standing. |
