General Antidepressant Information
This is just a general overview of info pertaining to all the drugs discussed. It's pretty to easy to figure out.
All antidepressant medications are equally effective. They elevate mood in 60 to 80 of people who use them as directed. It usually takes antidepressants two to four weeks before any benefits are felt.
Discontinue only under a physician's supervision.
Antidepressants may cause drowsiness that can impair thinking, judgment, and motor skills. Be extra-cautious about driving, use of machinery, or engaging in any activities that require alertness, judgment, or physical coordination until you feel confident that the drug does not impair your abilities.
You may experience sudden dizziness, weakness, or fainting when you rise from a sitting position.
If you take other medication while taking these drugs, consult your physician or pharmacist because drug interactions are possible.
Notify your doctor if you experience: severe headache, heart palpitations, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, stiff neck, unusual sweating, a sense of constriction in your throat or chest, or any unusual symptoms, (common sense, right?)
