Angelico, Fra

(1400?-1455)

Fra Angelico was a Dominican friar. He used his art style in a simple direct form. The church of St.Marco was taken over by his religious order in 1436. He decorated around 50 frescoes in that church. He was also called upon to decorate a chapel in the Vatican. The biggest collection of his works is in the Museo di St. Marco.
