Description |
| Sturgeon are a boneless anadromos fish. They do not have scales, rather,
a set of armored plates surround the sturgeon's body. Sturgeon are a long
lived fish that can live to over 100 years. They grow to over 800 kg (1800
lbs), although they are generally found much smaller than that. Many of
the species of sturgeon are severely threatened and face extinction due
to over-fishing and habitat destruction. |
