  Description

Halibut is a large fish that can reach sizes of over 3 m (10 ft) and weigh 275 kg (600 lbs). Halibut are right eyed, meaning that during their development both eyes migrate to the right side of the fish's body. Like other right or left sided fish, the top, or eyed side, is dark in color and the bottom side is light.
